Scottish government “worst offenders” for flouting FOI requests

Anyone familiar with the Hollie Greig story will not be surprised at the Scottish government’s poor rating in the FOI stakes – 78 failed requests since the new rules came into force in 2005, according to today’s Daily Record. Robert in the comments section asks how many of these might relate to the Hollie Greig case which “terrifies Salmond”? (see ‘Robert 2’).

The Commissioner himself, Kevin Dunion has done his best to be helpful but has obviously met with obstruction from certain quarters. He himself might have some interesting information to reveal when he steps down next month after 9 years in the job.
