Tom Watson MP – his first view of the depraved side of politics

When someone like Tom Watson MP speaks, people listen. Not because Tom is a particularly good speaker but because more often than not he is playing to the crowd, the media, playing politics, especially with issues and topics that will garner him the most publicity.

Tom Watson is viewed by many as an opportunist politician and I have no doubt that he saw an opportunity, a bandwagon to join when he raised a more than serious question at PMQs last week, but I doubt even he realised at the time the depths of depravity of those who inhabit the can of worms that he had unwittingly opened, or of the power that they wield.

In reading Tom Watson’s own blog, his post 10 DAYS THAT SHOOK MY WORLD, it is clear that this realisation has been thrust upon him, and despite being warned for his own well-being, he has promised to see this through, which we welcome and applaud.

I’m not going to let this drop despite warnings from people who should know that my personal safety is imperilled if I dig any deeper. It’s spooked me so much that I’ve kept a detailed log of all the allegations should anything happen.

As the first MP to put his head well above the parapet in attempting to expose paedophile rings within Westminster and the corridors of power, he is going to have a hard time, a dangerous time, so we wish him well and offer any help or technical assistance should he ask. However the more he digs, the more he uncovers, the more he will understand that it is the very people and institutions that should be protecting these abused children that are themselves often involved in the abuse, followed by the cover-up and protection of their abusers.

He also says on his blog:

I wish I could fight the case of everybody who has been abused by a paedophile who has so far got away with it, but I can’t. That is a job for the police. Up and down the country private grief is being stirred by these stories. I cannot help in each individual case, but the police and support services can, must and will. If you were abused a long time ago and want justice now, go to the police. It is not too late.

Our experience tells us that Tom is naively putting his trust in the police to deal with this matter. He will soon learn as he examines the evidence that is being provided to him in the emails he has already mentioned, that in virtually every case it is the police and support services who are responsible for the suppression, sectioning or disappearing of those who report abuse by illegally using the full range and weight of state powers.

But having said that, Tom Watson is uniquely placed to become a campaigner for these abused children, he has a tool available to him that campaigns, newspapers and broadcasters do not have, Parliamentary Privilege. We hope he chooses to concentrate his efforts and use that Parliamentary Privilege wisely to expose the living abusers and their networks, who should face justice and punishment through our courts rather than those long dead whom only God can now judge.

We shall find out in the coming days and weeks exactly what type of politician, what type of man Tom Watson really is. Having opened this can of worms in the most public place in the land we can only judge Tom Watson by what he does, not simply what he says.

There is no doubt that Tom Watson can be a tenacious man when he chooses. We hope and pray that he can find the strength and courage to be so over this matter and not be swayed by the pressures, threats and blackmail that will inevitably visit him.

10 days that shook my world

November 3rd, 2012 |

It’s ten days since I raised a question about intelligence suggesting a paedophile ring that touched the very heart of a previous government. I’d done so because a very credible retired child protection professional had lived with a gnawing suspicion of a cover up for many years.

These people are the rarest of human beings. They’re the people who labour in anonymity, day in day out, trying to make the world a better place. They have always been the foundations of our public services. Yet this retired public servant had, through a quirk of fate, stumbled on something that appeared so huge, that almost everyone he’d ever raised his concerns with had baulked at the challenge.

Since then though, many more ordinary people have contacted me about suspicions they have had of a wider wrongdoing – in some cases so heinous it made me cry.

They have talked of psychopaths marking children with Stanley knifes to show “ownership”. They tell of parties where children were “passed around” the men. They speak of golf course car parks being the scenes for child abuse after an 18 hole round.

And they have named powerful people – some of them household names – who abused children with impunity.

Two former police officers have raised their concerns of cover-ups. Child protection specialists have raised their fears that the network of convicted paedophile Peter Righton, the nexus of the group, was wider than at first thought. Others have identified a former cabinet minister who regularly abused young boys.

Some have raised mysterious early deaths, disappeared children, suspicious fires, intimidation and threats.

It’s bewildering.

These allegations go way beyond the claims made on BBC Newsnight yesterday. Newsnight failed to name the paedophile mentioned by a North Wales survivor. I can understand why. A career can be destroyed by an allegation of such magnitude. There needs to be a high bar of proof.

Yet the thing I learnt most from the hacking scandal, and for that matter, the Savile case, is that the intelligence was staring the police in the face. These people were hiding in daylight. So powerful, so brazen in their actions, those who had an inkling of what was happening turned a blind eye.

Or maybe none of this happened. Maybe the 50 plus emails and numerous phone calls and letters I have received were all from fantasists. Maybe the allegations of the victims – made for many years, consistently to anyone that would listen, maybe they’re bogus.

One thing is for certain: someone has to join the dots. And that should be the police. There are a few hardy child protection specialists who for many years, have been burrowing away, trying to uncover the truth. Their work and insight should be taken more seriously. The police should work with them.

The hacking scandal was about the police failing to follow clear leads of wrongdoing by powerful people. They could do this because politicians turned a blind eye.

This is potentially worse. Some of those powerful people involved in a cover up may well have been – and could still be – powerful politicians.

I’m not going to let this drop despite warnings from people who should know that my personal safety is imperilled if I dig any deeper. It’s spooked me so much that I’ve kept a detailed log of all the allegations should anything happen.

As I type this blog post, I’m half-smiling about how insane all this appears. It sounds like I’ve taken leave of my senses – just like they said I had during the early days of the hacking scandal. Maybe I have. Yet with a properly resourced investigation, with the voice of victims being heard in public and with the political will we can get to the facts.

What I am going to do personally is to speak out on this extreme case of organised abuse in the highest places. At the core of all child abuse is the abuse of power. The fundamental power of the adult over the child. Wherever this occurs it is an abomination. But these extreme cases are abuse of power by some of the most powerful people. Abuse of trust by some of the most trusted. It is a sickening story, but one which – like the truth about Jimmy Savile – is now going to be told.

UPDATE:

The following question has been posted to Tom Watson on his blog this evening 5th November (at the time of this update it is still in moderation):

Tom , would you kindly ask this question of the Ministry of Defence, whether the cyber attacks on the Hollie Demands Justice website are official and what is their purpose? Please see extract from the webmaster of his email report earlier today.

These attacks are coming from the MOD.

  1. I have emailed my MP (Annette Brooke) asking for her to support Tom Watson. There must be many MP’s who would like to support him, but have no yet mustered the courage to do so. I copied Mr Watson in on the email. Safety in numbers is what is required.

    • Yes the lack of MP support for this brave man is quite telling! This is the very kind of issue that will expose the parliamentarians for what the truely are. But most people that support the Hollie campaign are already aware of what these slime bags are all about.

  2. How about this as a letter to every MP.

We the public demand that the file on Operation ORE be opened and made public. We believe that the list of names drawn up by this police investigation will expose some of the paedophiles and abusers of children currently working within the Palace of Westminster. These sick and criminal people must be removed from the corridors of power and brought to justice in the shortest possible time. This decisive and long overdue action would then bring about a collapse of many of the paedophile rings operating around the country where people in positions of trust and authority are abusing children in appalling ways. Will you, as our elected representative, now publicly call for the file on Operation ORE to be made public? Failure to answer this simple question in the affirmative may well expose you to the charge of being a protector of paedophiles.

    Thank you.

  3. I believe that all MP’s & MSP’s should be properly ‘put on Notice’ and then asked the question of which side the fall on, as this is a black and white decision.

Either you are for pedophilia or you are against it?

If you are against it then you MUST participate in stamping it out as it is as rife today as it has ever been.

We could have someone propositioning their own MP & MSP’s constituency by constituency until all of them can be crossed off the list for having been notified and then crossed off the list for supporting the cause or otherwise?

Going forward, it is possible to screen people psychologically for being a pedophile by requiring them to complete psychometric testing as part of their employment contract, especially for Public Sector jobs, including the Judiciary.

  4. My emails and tweets were blocked last night (Nov 5th). The last tweet I received via email was:
@TheKeyAuthor It’s on the news, you and @Holliejustice, just hang on, got to go, love you all XXX

The twitter account of the person who tweeted it is down. I suspect this is all because our cases are on the Truth Commission petition & my case (N Wales child abduction cover-up) is a major concern right now to the government because of the involvement of the current Minister for Wales & the N Wales child abuse media attention.

  5. Please find below a transcript of my letter to my MP. I have not revealed his name until I receive a reply. I am hoping that by doing this it will encourage others to contact their own MP asking for support ot Tom Watson in the House and to raise the H.G question at PMQ’s. I copied in Tom Watson as someone previously suggested, I also plagerised a little bit from ‘Beaver’ posted on 4/11…thanks Beaver :). I will post any response I get from my MP. I will also post a transcript of a separate e-mail I sent to Tom Watson, again to encourage others to do the same. I remind you all that it is only because this issue was raised on the floor of the HoC by T.W that the media cannot ignore it, so please instruct your MP to do like-wise.

    Dear ………….
I have contacted you in the past regarding the cover up of the sexual abuse suffered by Hollie Greig, a young Down’s Syndrome woman who had been sexually abused from the age of 6yrs, in Aberdeen.
I furnished you with details of this case therefore I assume you have familiarised yourself with it and still have them to hand. In case you need reminded this official blog should update you https://www.holliedemandsjustice.org

As you suggested at that time I wrote to my MSP, Elaine Smith. I also contacted Justice Minister Kenny MacAskill. They both gave me the same standard reply; that this case has been fully investigated at the highest judicial level which included the Crown Office and that no evidence of abuse has been found. This is despite the fact that Hollie was awarded thousands of pounds in Criminal Injuries Compensation and despite the fact that not one of the accused has ever been interviewed by Grampian Police. I have looked into this case thoroughly and I am suggesting to you that it appears that there has been a major cover up from the highest echelons of the Scottish establishment. I urge that you do all that you can within the powers bestowed upon you as a Member of Parliament to expose this paedophile ring operating within Scotland.

I believe that the list of names drawn up by forthcoming police investigations into the Welsh care home abuse scandal will expose some of the paedophiles and abusers of children currently working within the Palace of Westminster. These sick and criminal people must be removed from the corridors of power and brought to justice in the shortest possible time. This decisive and long overdue action would then bring about a collapse of many of the paedophile rings operating around the country where people in positions of trust and authority are abusing children in appalling ways.

Also will you, as my elected representative, now publicly call for the file on Operation ORE to be made public?

I also urge you to support Tom Watson in the House of Commons by raising the Hollie Greig case at PMQ in the House. I’m sure that there must be many MP’s who would like to support him but lack the courage to do so. This lack of MP support will be quite telling when the truth comes out, which it will do. I do not accept that this is exclusively a Scottish matter. This is a UK wide matter and needs an inquiry similar to the current revelations of child abuse in Wales and beyond, it needs investigating by a party outwith the Aberdeen ‘cover-up’ area. There can be no geographical boundaries for child abuse.

The truth will come out I have absolutely no doubt about that. Meanwhile, I ask you, as my parliamentary representative, to bring these questions about Hollie into the public arena hence speeding up this disclosure, by asking the P.M. questions in the House of Commons. This case has been ignored for too long by those who hold the political power to intervene. Meanwhile, the perpetrators continue, unchallenged, to abuse young, defenceless and extremely vulnerable children.

I assure you that I will not stop in my fight for justice for Hollie Greig.

I would appreciate a personal response from you.

I have copied in Tom Watson.

  6. My e-mail to Tom Watson; I put this up on this forum in the hope that it inspires others to both encourage and thank Tom for his courage.

    Dear Tom

I know that I speak on behalf of a great number of people when I say to you that I commend your courage and indefatigability in your pursuit of the Truth in uncovering the horrific child abuse that is taking place not only on our shores but sadly, it would appear, world-wide.
    http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/europe/guilty-after-sixyear-trial-portugals-highsociety-paedophile-ring-2070112.html

I’ve written to my M.P. ………… asking him to support you in the House of Commons by asking the P.M. questions on the Hollie Greig case here in Scotland https://www.holliedemandsjustice.org I copied you in on an e-mail I sent to him yesterday.

Child abuse is being covered up by the people who hold the power to do so; politicians, police, judges, lawyers and the media. This is extremely worrying and it needs the courage of good men like yourself to burst the dam that holds back the cesspit of child abuse.

They would not dare harm you now that you’ve become public. The first dominoe has fallen and you will be remembered as the man who showed the courage to stand up to a very, very corrupt system within the British Establishment.

I thank you Tom on behalf of those who have suffered at the hands of the abusers, who now have the courage to come forward and speak their truth, on behalf of the innocent children who continue to be the victims of abuse, on behalf of the innocents who you have spared from abuse in the future, on behalf of every man, woman and child in this nation who live and act from a place of love in their hearts (99% of us), and finally, on behalf of myself and my children and grandchildren for making this world a better and safer place to bring up our young ones. My hope is that we see many other elected members follow in your footsteps.

God Bless you in your work and please trust that you are protected.

    Yours in deep appreciation,

  7. This evil practice must be stopped at all costs, children in all walks of life are vulnerable.
It is only of late that the full extent of this vile practice has been brought to the public notice, although it has been going on for many decades, but has now reached a time when our country’s parliamentary decisions are affected by it inasmuch as peadophile politicians are easily ruled by whomsoever becomes aware of their filthy perversions.

  8. It appears Tom Watson’s blog has been hit today too, causing database errors and blank pages without any of his previous posts being accessable. 🙁 I wonder if the MOD had anything to do with that!

I am sickened by the blatent attempt by the powers that be to keep people from accessing sites and blogs of those demanding a FULL investigation and justice.

I will be writing to my MP requesting his support of Tom Watson in his efforts to get justice for Hollie and other that were victims of henious crimes committed by persons who should not be holding power in any government or authority. Somehow, as has happened before, he has a tendency to ignore responding to mail which means he can’t just sit on the fence looking good. We will see.
